Yvette René Wilson was best known for her memorable role as Andell Wilkerson, the sharp-witted shopkeeper and hangout owner on the hit UPN sitcoms Moesha and its spin-off, The Parkers. Wilson majored in communications at San Jose State University. She subsequently launched her entertainment career as a stand-up comic. Her unique comedic timing and humor led her to perform on Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam.
Television and Film Career:
Wilson's bold comedic style eventually caught the attention of television and film directors. After making recurring appearances on shows like In Living Color and Uptown Comedy Club, she quickly established herself on the 1990s and early 2000s Black comedy circuit. Her acting credits include:
