Brief Biography:
Larry Wilmore is known as the "Senior Black Correspondent" on The Daily Show and host of The Nightly Show, he is also a powerhouse behind the camera, having created The Bernie Mac Show and co-created HBO's Insecure.
Early Life and Career Beginnings:
Attended California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, studying communications and theater.
Started his career as a stand-up comedian and actor in the 1980s, landing small acting roles on shows like The Facts of Life and Sledge Hammer!.
Television Writing and Producing:
Wilmore's impact on television comedy expanded significantly when he transitioned to writing and producing, developing some of the most culturally defining sitcoms.
