Occupations:  Stand-up comedian, actor, author

Brief Biography:  Ronald "Ron" White is known for his signature scotch-and-cigar persona and his famous punchline, "...You can't fix stupid," White rose to massive fame as a founding member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour.

Early Life and Military Service:
White grew up in a small town that later served as an inspiration for many of his stories. At age 17, he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War era before receiving an honorable discharge. Prior to pursuing comedy full-time, he worked in sales, traveling to gigs in a beat-up Nissan pickup truck with sample windows and doors in the back.

Career Milestones:
Early Stand-Up: White began his comedy career in 1986, quickly opening for established comedians like Sam Kinison and Jeff Foxworthy.
Blue Collar Comedy Tour (2000–2003): White joined forces with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy. The tour played to sold-out audiences in over 270 cities and was adapted into highly rated television specials.
Solo Success: Unlike his peers, White did not join the Blue Collar TV spin-off. Instead, he focused on his own stand-up and released highly successful solo specials and albums.
Award Nominations & Sales: He received two Grammy Award nominations for Best Comedy Album (You Can’t Fix Stupid and Behavioral Problems) and is RIAA-certified 10x Platinum for over 10 million units in CD and DVD sales.

Books and Acting Career:
Beyond the comedy stage, White has expanded his career into writing and Hollywood:
Writing: He authored the autobiography I Had the Right to Remain Silent But I Didn't Have the Ability (2006), which reached the New York Times Best Seller list.
Film & Television: White has acted in major theatrical films, including Horrible Bosses (2011) and Sex and the City 2 (2010). He also had a principal role in Cameron Crowe's Showtime series Roadies and co-produced the award-winning documentary Bridegroom.
Nicknamed "Tater Salad"—a moniker he has frequently used in his routines—White has been a dedicated supporter of military charities, famously launching the benefit Ron White's Comedy Salute to the Troops.
