Whang moved to Los Angeles in 1998 to pursue a career in entertainment. She built an impressive resume as both an actor and a stand-up comedian. She famously hosted House Hunters and House Hunters International from 1999 to 2007, serving as the voice and face of the show. As a stand-up comedian, she was known for her sharp, irreverent material and a controversial, satirical alter-ego named "Sung Hee Park". The act was a multi-dimensional satire of racism and ignorance, allowing her to make fun of all races—similar in concept to the famous character Archie Bunker.
