Jackie Vernon was best known as the iconic voice of the title character in the 1969 Rankin/Bass holiday special Frosty the Snowman. Hailed by critics as the "King of Deadpan," Vernon built a successful stage career utilizing a slow, low-key, and self-deprecating comedic delivery.
