Michelle Thomas was widely celebrated for her vibrant television roles in the late 1980s and 1990s. She is best known for portraying Justine Phillips, the girlfriend of Theo Huxtable on NBC's The Cosby Show, and Myra Monkhouse, the devoted girlfriend of Steve Urkel on ABC's Family Matters.

Family: She grew up in a highly creative family. Her mother, Phynjuar "Penwah" Thomas, was a stage actress and acting coach, and her father, Dennis "Dee Tee" Thomas, was a founding member and saxophonist for the famous funk band Kool & the Gang.
Pageants: Before her acting career took off, she was crowned Miss Talented Teen New Jersey and won the Miss Talented Teen International crown in Montego Bay, Jamaica, in 1984.
Breakthrough Roles and Television Career:
