Brief Biography:  Tim Thomerson known for his portrayal of the wisecracking futuristic detective Jack Deth in the Trancers film series and his prolific work in cult sci-fi and B-movies.

Early Life & Stand-Up Comedy:
Before entering show business, he served as a cook in a tank company in the Army National Guard (where he served alongside the late actor Brion James). Thomerson got his start in entertainment working as a set builder and prop man at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre. Encouraged by character actor Anthony Zerbe, Thomerson studied acting for four years under the legendary Stella Adler in New York. He simultaneously honed his craft as a stand-up comedian, becoming a staple at legendary clubs like The Bitter End in Greenwich Village, Catch a Rising Star, and the Comedy Store and Improv in Los Angeles. His stand-up success eventually led to a memorable guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.

Career & Iconic Roles:
Thomerson made his feature film debut in the 1976 comedy Car Wash. While he frequently played tough, laconic macho guys in cult genre films, he also demonstrated his comedic timing on several major sitcoms and sketch programs.
Trancers: His most signature role is Jack Deth, a 23rd-century detective, which he played across multiple Trancers films for Full Moon Features.
Genre and B-Movies: Thomerson became a legendary figure in sci-fi and action, starring in films like Dollman, Zone Troopers, Cherry 2000, and Nemesis. He also made appearances in mainstream films like Near Dark, Air America, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
Television: He played Gene-Jean on the short-lived sci-fi parody Quark and had memorable guest spots on Mork & Mindy, The Flash, Xena: Warrior Princess, and The New Adventures of Superman.
