Benjamin Jeremy Stein is recognized for his deadpan humor and monotonous delivery, he rose to fame as the droning economics teacher in Ferris Bueller's Day Off and as the co-host of the game show Win Ben Stein's Money.
Early Life and Legal Career:
He graduated as valedictorian from Yale Law School in 1970. Before entering entertainment, he worked as a poverty lawyer, a trade regulation attorney for the FTC, and a speechwriter for U.S. Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.
Entertainment Career:
Transitioning to Hollywood in the late 1980s, Stein became a cult figure for his comedic bit part in 1986's Ferris Bueller's Day Off. He parlayed his trademark droning voice and deadpan delivery into numerous television and film roles. He is particularly well known for:
