Brief Biography: Sommore is known as the "Diva of Contemporary Comedy". She rose to fame as the first female host of BET's ComicView and is famous for her biting sarcasm and unapologetic takes on dating, money, and gender equality.

Before stepping onto the comedy stage, Sommore worked as an algebra teacher in the Atlanta public school system. She then transitioned into the Atlanta comedy circuit. Her career skyrocketed in 1994 when she became the first woman to host BET’s ComicView, earning the Richard Pryor Award for Comic of the Year.
The Queens of Comedy:
In 2001, Sommore cemented her status as a comedy icon by joining forces with Mo'Nique, Laura Hayes, and Adele Givens for The Queens of Comedy tour. The massively successful tour was filmed as a special, set attendance records, and played to an audience of nearly 50,000 people in Atlanta, earning a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records.
