Brief Biography:  Glenn Shadix was celebrated for his larger-than-life character roles. He is best known for portraying the flamboyant interior designer Otho in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice and as the voice of the Mayor of Halloween Town in The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Early Life and The Groundlings:
Born in Bessemer, Alabama, Shadix discovered his passion for acting at an early age. He relocated to California to study at the revered comedy troupe The Groundlings, which served as a major launching pad for his career in both comedy and character acting.

Film and Television Career:
Shadix made his film debut in the 1981 thriller The Postman Always Rings Twice, but it was his work in improvisational comedy that led him to his breakout role. Director Tim Burton, who appreciated Shadix's theatrical comedy style, cast him as the eccentric Otho in the 1988 cult classic Beetlejuice. This role sparked a long-term collaboration with Burton. In 1993, Shadix provided the iconic, fast-talking, two-faced Mayor of Halloween Town in The Nightmare Before Christmas. He later reunited with Burton on the 2001 film Planet of the Apes. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Shadix established a prolific career in both live-action television and voice acting. His notable TV credits include roles on Seinfeld, Cheers, Roseanne, and the HBO series Carnivàle. As a voice actor, he appeared in animated hits like Teen Titans and Justice League Unlimited.
