Paul Scheer is known for his scene-stealing roles on FX’s The League and Showtime’s Black Monday. A foundational member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, he has become a prolific multi-hyphenate, an award-winning podcaster, and a New York Times bestselling author.
Early Career and Sketch Comedy:
Scheer broke into comedy in 1998 by joining the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) in New York City. He quickly established himself in the alt-comedy scene, co-creating and starring in the cult-favorite MTV sketch series Human Giant alongside Aziz Ansari and Rob Huebel. He later brought his absurd, high-energy comedic style to Adult Swim with the hit parody-action series NTSF:SD:SUV::.
Television and Film Success:
He is globally recognized for his television roles, most notably playing the clueless and hilariously eccentric plastic surgeon Andre Nowzick on FX’s fantasy football sitcom The League.
