Brief Biography:  Gunnar Todd Rohrbacher is best known as the co-founder and master teacher of Actors Comedy Studio in Los Angeles. This institution is highly regarded as one of the world's only training facilities dedicated exclusively to the art of auditioning and acting for television sitcoms.

Early Life and Career Beginnings:
Started his comedy career at The Groundlings, where Emmy-winner Lisa Kudrow served as his very first improv teacher. Mentored by legendary comedy figures Cynthia Szigeti and Phyllis Katz, who helped launch hundreds of careers in show business. Spent his early years performing on major comedy stages across Los Angeles, including Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), Second City, and The Comedy Store.

Television, Production, and Casting:
Graduated from the prestigious Warner Bros. Writers Program. Starred in two prime-time television pilots for NBC: Prime Time Comedy (produced by Laugh-In creator George Schlatter) and the semi-improvised sitcom The Weekend. Spent time working in commercial and theatrical casting, which shaped his understanding of why certain actors successfully book roles.

Teaching and Methodologies:
Co-founded Actors Comedy Studio alongside Lauren Bertoni in 2011. Formulated specialized educational tracks, including the "Acting for Animators" program for Walt Disney Animation Studios. Introduced the "Acting for Sitcoms" curriculum to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the New York Film Academy. Teaches a grounded comedy technique that prioritizes truth and dramatic acting capability before layering on the jokes.

Published Works and Writing:
Serves as a staff writer and frequent industry expert contributor for Backstage Magazine. Authored The Comedy Code, a comprehensive text breaking down ten comedic character archetypes using Commedia dell'arte and Jungian psychology. Authored the original scene books The Funniest Scenes in the World (Volume 1 and Volume 2) to give actors modern material for practice reels.
