Brief Biography:  Louis Nye was best known as a regular on The Steve Allen Show. He became nationally famous for his portrayal of the pretentious country-club snob Gordon Hathaway and his iconic catchphrase, "Hi-ho, Steverino,".

Early Life and Career:
Nye developed an early interest in performance. After performing in local theater, he transitioned to radio and musical revues. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army, where he met and collaborated on comedy sketches with Carl Reiner.

Television Breakthrough:
Nye’s career skyrocketed in 1956 when he joined the groundbreaking The Steve Allen Show. As a core cast member alongside comedy legends like Don Knotts and Tom Poston, Nye’s "Man on the Street" interviews and his characterization of the droll, wealthy bon vivant Gordon Hathaway defined his early career. His brilliant ad-libbing frequently caused Allen to break into uncontrollable laughter live on air.

Iconic Roles and Later Career:
Following the success of The Steve Allen Show, Nye relocated to Los Angeles and became a ubiquitous face in film and television. His most memorable acting roles include:
The Beverly Hillbillies: Played Sonny Drysdale, the delightfully spoiled and fussy stepson of banker Milburn Drysdale.
Curb Your Enthusiasm: Appeared in a recurring role from 2000 to 2005 as the father of Jeff Greene (played by Jeff Garlin).
Animation: Provided distinct voice work for cartoons, most notably the 1980s Inspector Gadget series.
