Brief Biography:  Kel Johari Rice Mitchell became a 1990s pop culture icon as an original cast member on Nickelodeon’s All That and the hit sitcom Kenan & Kel. He is also widely recognized for his beloved character Ed from the hit film Good Burger.

Early Life and Career Breakthrough:
Mitchell began his acting career at age 12 with the ETA Creative Arts Foundation. After performing in local theater, his standout comedic talent led to his discovery. In 1994, at just 14 years old, he was cast as an original member of Nickelodeon's sketch comedy show All That. It was here that he met his lifelong collaborator, Kenan Thompson.

Iconic 90s Television and Film:
Mitchell brought a high-energy, physical comedy style to a variety of original characters, most notably the clueless, fast-food worker "Ed" in the Good Burger sketch. The sketch's popularity led to a standalone 1997 movie, Good Burger, starring him and Thompson. The duo’s chemistry also spawned the popular 1990s sitcom Kenan & Kel, cementing Mitchell's status as a top comedic talent.

Later Roles and Recent Work:
Outside of his partnership with Kenan Thompson, Mitchell has built a highly versatile career. His other notable projects include:
Voice Acting: Provided the voice of T-Bone in the PBS animated series Clifford the Big Red Dog (2000–2003) and Dutch in Disney XD's Motorcity.
Television: Starred as Double G in the Nickelodeon series Game Shakers (2015–2019) and was the runner-up on season 28 of Dancing with the Stars.
Returns to Classics: Reprised his iconic role as Ed in the 2023 sequel film Good Burger 2.

Ministry and Community Work:
In addition to his entertainment career, Mitchell is a devout Christian and serves as a youth pastor at Spirit Food Christian Center in Winnetka, California. He is deeply committed to youth advocacy, hosting uplifting concerts, directing faith-based films, and writing motivational books, including Blessed Mode: 90 Days to Level Up Your Faith.
