Brief Biography:  Bob Marley is renowned for his observational New England humor and regional charm. Early Life and Background:
Born Robert Cochrane Marley Jr. on April 4, 1967, in Portland, Maine, he grew up primarily in Bangor before moving to the Munjoy Hill area of Portland. He later graduated from Deering High School in 1985 and attended the University of Maine at Farmington, where he graduated with a degree in community health. He realized he wanted to pursue a career in comedy during college, performing his first stand-up set at a local health fair.

Comedy Career and World Record:
To hone his craft and gain city experience, Marley moved to Boston, Massachusetts, which is a famous breeding ground for comedy all-stars. He eventually built a highly successful career by drawing comedic inspiration from his blue-collar family and everyday life in Maine. Over the years, he has built an impressive resume:
Late-Night Circuit: He is one of the few comedians to appear on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He has also had his own specials on Comedy Central.
Guinness World Record: In September 2010, Marley made history by performing a stand-up comedy routine for an incredible 40 continuous hours, setting the record for the longest stand-up comedy show by an individual.
Recordings: He has released over 20 comedy CDs and DVDs, frequently touring theaters across the US and Canada.

Acting and Radio:
In addition to his stand-up, Marley has carved out a distinct acting career. He is best known to movie fans for playing the quirky and memorable Detective Greenly in the cult classic 1999 film The Boondock Saints, a role he reprised in its 2009 sequel, The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. He is also a prominent fixture in radio. Marley is a weekly host/guest on the Portland-based station Coast 93.1-WMGX for a segment titled "The World According to Bob," and frequently appears on Sirius XM's Blue Collar Radio and Raw Dog Comedy channels.
