Brief Biography:  Guy Marks gained fame in the 1960s and 1970s for his versatile mimicry, frequent variety show appearances, and the novelty hit "Loving You Has Made Me Bananas".

Early Life and Career Beginnings:
Born in South Philadelphia to a musical family, Marks spent time in the U.S. Army and the Merchant Marine before breaking into the nightclub scene. Performing alongside his childhood friends and roommates—such as Eddie Fisher and Al Martino—he won Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts, which launched his television career.

Comedy and Impressions:
Marks was a world-class impressionist. While he could mimic celebrities like Humphrey Bogart and Boris Karloff, he became highly regarded for his absurd sound effects and physical comedy, imitating objects and animals ranging from neon signs and rubber bands to a praying mantis and a housefly.

Television and Film:
Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, he was a staple of television variety and talk shows. He made regular appearances on: The Ed Sullivan Show, The Joey Bishop Show, The Dean Martin Show, The John Forsythe Show. On screen, he frequently played character roles and was highly praised for his flawless Humphrey Bogart impression, landing notable film roles in Train Ride to Hollywood (1975) and Peeper (1976).

The "Bananas" Musical Hit:
Marks scored a novelty, one-hit-wonder chart success in 1968 with the song "Loving You Has Made Me Bananas". Parodying the popular music conventions and medleys of the big band era, the track became a regional hit in the United States and was re-released in 1978, charting successfully in the UK.
