Brief Biography:  Ken Marino is best known for his founding role in MTV's sketch group The State, cult-classic films like Wet Hot American Summer, and acclaimed television comedies such as Party Down, Childrens Hospital, and The Other Two.

Early Life & Education:
Born Kenneth Joseph Marino in West Islip, New York, he developed an interest in acting early in life. He pursued formal training at the Lee Strasberg Institute and later graduated from New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. It was during his time at NYU that he co-founded the sketch comedy troupe The New Group, which eventually evolved into the legendary MTV ensemble The State.

Television & Film Career:
Marino gained massive cult popularity as an original cast member on MTV's The State (1993–1995). Following the show's run, he continued to land notable comedic roles, notably starring as over-enthusiastic caterer Ron Donald in Starz's Party Down and the satirical Dr. Glenn Richie on Adult Swim's Childrens Hospital. In the film world, Marino is famous for playing Victor in the absurd comedy Wet Hot American Summer, and for his collaborations with longtime friend and co-writer David Wain. Together, they wrote and produced successful comedies like Role Models (2008) and Wanderlust (2012). He also portrayed the arrogant, hilarious Streeter on Comedy Central's The Other Two.

Behind the Camera:
Marino is a prolific writer and director. He directed all three seasons of the hit Yahoo! web series Burning Love—a satirical take on The Bachelor franchise which was co-created by his wife, Erica Oyama. He also made his feature film directorial debut with the 2018 ensemble comedy Dog Days.
