Morton grew up fully immersed in the entertainment world. As a child, he performed in circuses and traveled the vaudeville circuit with his family. He eventually became a star attraction alongside his parents in their well-known family vaudeville act, The Four Mortons. On top of his theatrical pursuits, he also spent time working as a professional prizefighter.

Broadway and Stage Career:
As an adult, Morton successfully transitioned into legitimate musical theatre, establishing a steady career on Broadway. He specialized in:
