Brief Biography:
Seth Morris is best known for his improvisational work at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), his recurring roles on series like Happy Endings, Go On, and Childrens Hospital, and his frequent appearances as the hypochondriac "Bob Ducca" on the Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast.
Early Life and UCB Beginnings:
After a brief stint at UC Santa Cruz and a cross-country bicycling trip, he began his comedy career in New York City. He became heavily involved with the UCB Theatre as both an improviser and a sketch comedian. He later relocated to Los Angeles, becoming the first Artistic Director of UCB's LA division. During this time, he formed the sketch comedy group "The Naked Babies" alongside fellow comedians Rob Corddry, Brian Huskey, and John Ross Bowie.
Television and Film Career:
Transitioning to screenwriting and acting, Morris became the first staff writer hired by Funny or Die. Over his career, he has built an extensive resume of film and television credits:
TV Roles: Recurred as Scotty on Happy Endings, Danny on Go On, T.J. on The Hotwives of Orlando, and provided voice work as Greg Glaser on Big Mouth and the Ultrascalpel Robots in Close Enough.
Writing: Staff writer for Funny or Die, and a writer/consultant for comedy shows including the Kroll Show, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, and Childrens Hospital.
Film: Featured in comedies such as Step Brothers, The Dictator, The Campaign, and I Love You, Man.
Bob Ducca and Podcasting:
Within the comedy and podcasting community, Morris is famously known for his character "Bob Ducca," a perpetually ailing and incredibly specific hypochondriac. The character originated on the Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast and spawned his own standalone podcast on the Earwolf network, Affirmation Nation with Bob Ducca, which released 144 episodes.
