Brief Biography:  Larry the Cable Guy is famous for his thick Southern drawl and signature catchphrase "Git-R-Done!" He rose to national superstardom as a core member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and later voiced the beloved tow truck Mater in the Cars franchise.

Early Life and Career Beginnings:
Born in Pawnee City, Nebraska, Whitney grew up on a pig farm before attending high school in West Palm Beach, Florida. His father was an entertainer, musician, and backwoods minister. He majored in drama and speech at Baptist University of America and the University of Nebraska, but dropped out to pursue comedy full-time. He developed his trademark Southern accent after imitating his college roommates from Texas and Georgia. He spent the 1990s as a radio DJ and frequent guest on programs like The Bob & Tom Show, steadily building his "Larry" redneck persona.

The Blue Collar Comedy Boom:
In 2000, Whitney teamed up with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Ron White to form the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Their observational, working-class humor took the country by storm, resulting in massively successful live tours, multiplatinum comedy albums, and television specials. At the height of the tour's popularity, Whitney was one of the highest-earning comedians in the entertainment industry.

Voice Acting and Television:
Beyond stand-up, Whitney found massive success as a voice actor for Disney/Pixar, starring as Mater in the highly successful Cars franchise. He also hosted the History Channel travelogue series Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy for three seasons and starred in several feature films, including Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector.

Personal Life and Philanthropy:
Outside of the spotlight, Whitney lives on a farm in Nebraska with his wife, Cara, and their two children. He is heavily involved in charitable work through the Git-R-Done Foundation. Founded in 2009 alongside his wife, the non-profit has donated millions of dollars to various organizations, heavily focusing on children’s causes and veterans' support.
