Early Life and Education:
Comedic Roots: Born into a highly creative family in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill neighborhood, her mother, Esther Lapiduss, was a famous local singer and comedian known as Pittsburgh's "Queen of Comedy". Her sister, Sally Lapiduss, also grew up to become a successful comedy writer and producer.
Early Stand-Up: She began performing stand-up comedy at the remarkably young age of 14.
Education: She graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School before earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree from the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama.
