Early Life and Career Beginnings:
Born in Santiago, Cuba, on June 14, 1968, Love is of Afro-Cuban descent. Because his father served in the U.S. Navy, he grew up as a "military brat," spending his formative years living in Southeast San Diego, California, and Newark, New Jersey. Love found a passion for stand-up comedy early, taking the stage for the first time at just 15 years old. By age 19, he had landed his first Off-Broadway role in New York.

Breakout Roles:
Love’s motion-picture debut came in the 1992 animated film Bébé's Kids, where he showcased his early voice-acting talents by imitating the late comedian Robin Harris. His true cinematic breakout, however, was his unforgettable performance as the intimidating drug supplier "Big Worm" in the 1995 cult classic Friday. He continued to build a prolific film and television career over the next few decades. Some of his most recognized projects include:
Film: The Meteor Man (1993), Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood (1996), Elf (2003), The Replacements (2000), and Couples Retreat (2009).
Television: Co-starring as Wendell Wilcox on the 90s sitcom The Parent 'Hood and recurring roles on Black-ish and The New Edition Story.
Voice Acting: Provided the voice for Sean "Sweet" Johnson in the hit video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Stand-Up and Legacy:
Despite his massive success in film and voice work, Love has remained an active stand-up comedian for over four decades. He has been featured on major platforms like HBO's Def Comedy Jam and BET's Comic View. He tours frequently at top comedy venues across the country.
