Brief Biography:  Douglas Lawrence Osowski professionally known as Mr. Lawrence, is globally recognized for his pivotal behind-the-scenes work and voice roles on Nickelodeon, most notably as the voice of Sheldon J. Plankton on SpongeBob SquarePants.

Early Life and Stand-Up Roots:
Born and raised in East Brunswick, New Jersey, Lawrence developed a keen interest in both drawing and performing comedy at an early age. In high school, he regularly performed in summer sketch and live comedy shows. He briefly attended The Kubert School in Dover, New Jersey, before dropping out to pursue a career as a stand-up comedian. He successfully performed stand-up in New Jersey and Los Angeles alongside comedians like Jeremy Kramer and Martin Olson.

Transition to Animation:
His transition to animation happened when his stand-up background and drawing skills caught the attention of producers at Spümcø. He began as a layout assistant on The Ren & Stimpy Show before transitioning to Rocko's Modern Life. On Rocko's Modern Life, he not only directed and wrote episodes but also landed his first major voice role as the anxious, nerdy turtle, Filburt.

SpongeBob SquarePants and Legacy:
In 1999, Lawrence joined SpongeBob SquarePants right from its inception. He acts as a co-writer and story editor, and voices a wide variety of iconic characters, including: Sheldon J. PlanktonLarry the LobsterFred the FishPotty the Parrot (from season 10 onwards)

Other Works:
Outside of his work on SpongeBob, he has lent his unique voice and writing talents to other animated series, including Camp Lazlo! (as Edward J. Platypus) and Mighty Magiswords.
