Brief Biography:  Phil Jaye was an American stand-up comedian, impressionist, and musician from South Philadelphia. He was best known for his long-running career as part of the comedy and singing duo The Jaye Brothers.

Early Life and Military Service:
He grew up in a predominantly Italian neighborhood near Columbus Square in Philadelphia.
Education: He attended South Philadelphia High School.
World War II: At age 18, Jaye joined the Armed Services as a machine gunner. His talent was discovered by the Special Services (USO), which moved him from combat duties to perform as a drummer and comedian for the troops in Europe.

Career Highlights:
The Jaye Brothers: After the war, he formed a successful comedy and music duo with partner Jerry Jaye Aiena. The act, which ran from roughly 1955 to 1969, was known for blending humor with vocal performances.
Solo Work: Following the duo's disbandment, he continued as a solo act and impressionist. He is also credited for an appearance in the 1964 film The Block.
Personal Life: Before his entertainment career fully took off, he worked in the shoe repair business at Wanamaker's department store. He was married to Jean Maiorano for fifty years.
