He is most famous for his role as Arch Fenster in the 1960s sitcom I’m Dickens, He’s Fenster and for his nearly 40-year marriage to Oscar-winning actress Shirley Jones.

Early Life and Career:
Ingels served in the Army before pursuing an acting career. He got his start at the Pasadena Playhouse and gained initial public attention by winning thousands of dollars on the game show Name That Tune.
