Brief Biography:
Melanie Hutsell is best known as a Saturday Night Live (SNL) cast member from 1991 to 1994. A Tennessee native, she rose to fame playing Jan Brady in the Chicago improv show The Real Live Brady Bunch before joining SNL, where she was celebrated for impressions of Tori Spelling, Tonya Harding, and her work as a Delta Delta Delta sorority girl.
Early Career and SNL (1991–1994):
Hutsell studied drama at the University of Tennessee before joining the Second City training center in Chicago.
The Annoyance Theatre: She was a co-founding member of The Annoyance Theatre, starring as Jan Brady in The Real Live Brady Bunch.
Saturday Night Live: Hutsell joined SNL as a featured player in season 17 (1991) and was promoted to the main cast, staying until 1994.
