Brief Biography:  Otis Harlan was best known as the voice of Happy in Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937). He had a long career spanning Broadway, silent films, and early talkies, appearing in over 130 films.

Early Life and Career:
Theater: Developed an interest in acting at Ohio Wesleyan University, later joining Charles Hoyt’s comedy troupe. He was a recognized face on Broadway between 1894 and 1915.
Vaudeville: In 1911, he was known for performing in vaudeville and introduced Irving Berlin’s "[Alexander's Ragtime Band]" on stage.

Film Career:
Silent Era & Talkies: Harlan transitioned successfully to sound films due to his natural, expressive voice.
Key Roles: Played Cap'n Andy in the 1929 part-talkie version of Show Boat and Starveling in A Midsummer Night's Dream (1935).
Disney: Besides voicing Happy in Snow White (1937), he voiced Mole in Bambi and appeared in Disney shorts, including Self Control (1938) as Uncle Smiley.
Other Roles: Appeared in Our Gang short Roamin' Holiday (1937) and The Texans (1938).
