Brief Biography:  Brian Haner Sr., known as "Guitar Guy" or "Papa Gates," is recognized for his work with Jeff Dunham and as a session guitarist. He is the father of Synyster Gates, lead guitarist for Avenged Sevenfold. He left comedy/performing in 2014 to coordinate the Commercial Music Program at the Orange County School of the Arts.

Musical & Comedy Career:
Early Career: Started playing guitar at age ten in The Plastic Mind and later toured with Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs at age 16.
"Guitar Guy": Gained widespread fame as a musical stand-up comedian and "Guitar Guy" on tour with comedian/ventriloquist Jeff Dunham, including Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas Special (2008).
Discography: Released multiple comedy/music albums, including Carney Man, Cougar Bait, and The Artist Formerly Known As Guitar Guy.
Other Projects: A noted session musician who has worked with Avenged Sevenfold and scored for TV/film, including Z Nation.
