Brief Biography:  Jackie Gayle known for his fast-talking style and four-decade career in entertainment. Born to Russian Jewish immigrants on March 1, 1926, in Brooklyn, New York, he originally pursued a career in music. He began playing professionally as a drummer at age 16.

Early Career and Lenny Bruce:
Worked as a drummer for Sally Marr, the mother of legendary comedian Lenny Bruce.
Befriended by Lenny Bruce, who recognized his comedic talent offstage.
Convinced by Bruce to abandon the drums and pursue stand-up comedy.

Stand-Up Comedy & Las Vegas:
Performed as a nightclub comic for over 40 years.
Gained his first big break in 1964 opening the Los Angeles Playboy Club alongside Tony Bennett.
