Brief Biography:  Joe Flaherty best known for his influential work on the Canadian sketch comedy show SCTV and his roles in Freaks and Geeks and Happy Gilmore. Known for his versatile character work and dry delivery, Flaherty was a staple of comedy for over four decades.

Early Career:
Started his career at the Chicago branch of the Second City theater, performing as Joe O'Flaherty.National Lampoon: Appeared on the National Lampoon Radio Hour (1973–1974) alongside future SCTV cast members.

SCTV (1976–1984):
Flaherty moved to Toronto to help establish the Second City troupe there, leading to his role on SCTV, where he worked as both a writer and performer for all eight seasons. He won two Primetime Emmy Awards for writing in 1982 and 1983.

Count Floyd: A local TV horror host who doubled as a vampire.
