Brief Biography:  Jane Curtin is widely recognized as an original cast member of Saturday Night Live (1975–1980) and for her Emmy-winning roles in Kate & Allie and 3rd Rock from the Sun. Known as the "Queen of Deadpan," she is a trailblazing comedic performer celebrated for her sharp, intelligent wit and ability to anchor chaotic sketches.

Early Life and Career:
Education: Graduated from Newton Country Day School (1965) and earned an associate degree from Elizabeth Seton Junior College (1967) before dropping out of Northeastern University to pursue comedy.
Improv Roots: Joined the Boston-based comedy group The Proposition in 1968, performing until 1972.

Career Milestones:
Saturday Night Live (1975–1980): One of the original "Not Ready for Prime Time Players." She famously anchored "Weekend Update" and played Prymaat in the Coneheads sketches.
Kate & Allie (1984–1989): Portrayed Allison "Allie" Lowell, winning back-to-back Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series (1984, 1985).
3rd Rock from the Sun (1996–2001): Played Dr. Mary Albright opposite John Lithgow.
Film & Television: Appeared in Coneheads (1993), I Love You, Man (2009), The Heat (2013), and Jules (2023).
Stage: Performed on Broadway in Candida (1981), Noises Off (2001), and Our Town (2002).
