Brief Biography:  Allen Stephen Covert known for his long-standing professional and personal association with Adam Sandler. He is perhaps most famous for his lead role as Alex in the 2006 cult classic comedy Grandma's Boy.

Early Life and Education:
Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, Covert was raised in a household with a Jewish father and a Southern Baptist mother. He attended New York University (NYU), where he met and became close friends with future comedy superstar Adam Sandler and filmmaker Judd Apatow. After college, he worked as a doorman at the Improv comedy club in Los Angeles before launching his own career on the stand-up circuit.

Professional Career:
Covert's career is inextricably linked to Sandler's Happy Madison Productions. He has served as a performer, writer, or producer for nearly every film and comedy album Sandler has released.
Acting Roles: His debut was as a bartender in Going Overboard (1989), which was also Sandler's first film. He became a staple in popular comedies, playing memorable characters like Otto the homeless caddy in Happy Gilmore, Ten Second Tom in 50 First Dates, and Sammy in The Wedding Singer.
Production and Writing: Beyond acting, Covert has worked as an executive producer on major titles like Hotel Transylvania 2, Anger Management, and The Longest Yard. He also co-wrote The Benchwarmers and numerous songs for Sandler's multi-platinum comedy albums.
