Brief Biography:  Andrew Dice Clay (born Andrew Clay Silverstein on September 29, 1957) is an American stand-up comedian and actor, best known for his provocative, brash, and controversial persona, "The Diceman." He rose to meteoric fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s, becoming the first comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden for two consecutive nights.

Early Life and Career:
Early Entertainment: By age five, he was doing impressions, and by seven, he was playing the drums.
Early Career: In the 1970s, he worked as a drummer on the Catskill Mountains circuit under the name "Clay Silvers" before transitioning to stand-up comedy.
The Persona: He developed "The Diceman" persona in the 1980s, influenced by John Travolta, Elvis Presley, and Sylvester Stallone. The character was known for his leather jacket and for reciting dirty nursery rhymes.

Rise to Fame ("Dicemania"):
Breakthrough: In 1988, a performance at the "Sam Kinison All-Star Comedy Special" launched his career.
