Brief Biography:  Chevy Chase is an iconic American comedian, actor, and writer, known for his deadpan delivery and physical comedy. He became a household name as a breakout star on the first season of Saturday Night Live (1975–1976), where he was the original anchor for "Weekend Update" and a three-time Emmy Award winner.

Early Life and Career:
Born in New York City into a prominent family, his grandmother nicknamed him "Chevy".
Education: He was the valedictorian of his high school class and earned a B.A. in English from Bard College.
Early Comedy: Before SNL, Chase wrote for the Smothers Brothers and was a key member of the National Lampoon Radio Hour in 1973 alongside John Belushi and Gilda Radner.
