Brief Biography:
Marty Brill was a multi-talented American comedian, writer, actor, and musician. Known for his topical humor, he was a fixture on variety and talk shows during the 1960s and 70s.
Early Life and Military Service:
Brill was a child prodigy who performed piano concerts. During the Korean War, he served in Naval Intelligence as a Japanese interpreter. He became so fluent that he later dubbed the voice of Jimmy Stewart in Japanese for radio exports. During his service, he met and befriended comedian Lenny Bruce, whom he would later portray in a regional production of Lenny.

Television & Variety Shows: He appeared frequently on classics like The Ed Sullivan Show, The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, and The Merv Griffin Show.
Acting Roles: Brill had a recurring role as Howard Carr on The New Dick Van Dyke Show and guest-starred on series including The Mary Tyler Moore Show, All in the Family, and Three's Company.
Writing & Voice Work: He wrote for and occasionally performed on The New Soupy Sales Show. He also voiced characters like King Koo Koo in Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure (1977) and provided voices for various Hanna-Barbera animations.
