Brief Biography:  Alonzo Bodden is a prominent American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer, best known as the winner of season three of NBC's Last Comic Standing in 2004. A regular panelist on NPR's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, Bodden is known for his observational, topical, and "cynically good-natured" comedy.

Early Life and Career Transition:
Born and raised in the St. Albans neighborhood of Queens, New York, to an African American mother and an Afro-Honduran father, Bodden originally worked in the aerospace industry. He attended Aviation High School in Queens and spent nine years working for companies like Lockheed Martin and McDonnell Douglas as a jet mechanic and trainer. He transitioned into comedy in the mid-1990s, with his career taking off after a "New Faces of Comedy" showcase at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal.
