He is best known for his cult-hit Comedy Central travelogue series Insomniac with Dave Attell, which aired from 2001 to 2004.

Early Life and Career:
Birth & Education: Born in Queens and raised in Rockville Centre, New York, Attell graduated from South Side High School and later New York University with a degree in Communications in 1987.
Stand-up Beginnings: He began performing at open-mic nights in Manhattan in 1988, quickly developing a reputation for his unique, off-color material.
Writing & Television: Early in his career, he wrote for Saturday Night Live (1993–1994) and The Jon Stewart Show (1993–1995), and made appearances on The Daily Show and The Late Show with David Letterman.
